Students should develop a healthy balance between traditional paper-and-pencil skills and the thoughtful use of digital resources. Foundational abilities such as writing, computation, critical thinking, and problem solving should first be strengthened through students' own reasoning and effort.
Technology should support learning by expanding opportunities to research, create, collaborate, and communicate—not replace independent thinking or become a substitute for essential skills. Our goal is to help students become capable, confident learners who know when to rely on their own knowledge and judgment and when to use technology as a tool to deepen understanding and improve outcomes. By fostering mindful and responsible technology use, we prepare students to think critically, solve problems creatively, and use digital tools ethically and effectively in school and beyond.
