Special education services

The Academy of Saint Bartholomew proudly participates in both the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship (JPSN) and the Autism Scholarship Program (ASP), providing specialized educational services and support for eligible students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Our team is committed to helping each student reach their full potential through individualized instruction and support. Services may include full-time intervention specialists, social-emotional support, school counseling, occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, and other related services based on each student's unique strengths, needs, and IEP goals.

The Academy partners closely with families and each student's resident public school district to support student success and ensure compliance with all Ohio Department of Education and Workforce requirements. This collaborative process includes the development and implementation of IEPs, Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs), progress monitoring, required evaluations, and annual review meetings to ensure students receive the services and accommodations needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

school counseling services

School counseling services are available to all students in our Preschool through Grade 8 program.

Our school counselor is on site four days each week and works with students individually, in small groups, and in classroom guidance lessons. Through these services, students develop important social-emotional skills, learn healthy ways to manage challenges, build positive relationships, and strengthen their confidence and resilience.

We are committed to partnering with families to support each child's emotional well-being and personal growth, helping every student feel safe, valued, and prepared for success both in and out of the classroom.
